SingularLogic undertakes the digital culture project of Mylopotamos Municipality in the Region of Crete.

The Municipality of Mylopotamos, after a relevant tender, assigned the project “Development of electronic culture applications for the promotion of monuments and cultural stock” to SingularLogic, a member of Space Hellas group. With this project, the Municipality of Mylopotamos aims to preserve, highlight, and promote the history and culture of the area, as well as to increase touristic traffic, by offering upgraded services that improve the visitor experience and create a new dynamic development for the local community, by capitalizing on Experiential Tourism.

In particular, the project incorporates the development of a culture website that will showcase the areas of interest. These areas will be captured on the map and enriched with audiovisual content, photographs, documentaries, 3D & Virtual Reality video, etc., with historical, environmental, and educational information, in three different languages.

The audiovisual content to be produced will be available through mobile devices, with augmented reality and virtual reality (AR, VR) capabilities. The digital holograms of significant archeological finds will be displayed locally in special showcases to be accessible in Augmented Reality (AR) format in the mobile application.

In its educational dimension, the project incorporates the development of an interactive educational application for touchscreens, to be used by children and schools. Moreover, an experiential virtual reality educational application will be developed, that will include video projection and quizzes and will be accessible through VR headsets, cloud VR video players, and native app stores. Moreover, via a management platform, the Municipality’s executives will have at their disposal relevant data and detailed reports on the use of the educational applications to evaluate and optimize their use and effectiveness.
