Reliable and fast broacasting of the results of the Municipal / Regional Elections and of the European Parliament Elections

ATHENS, 13th May 2014: SingularLogic is proud to undertake once more the task of collecting and broadcasting the election results of the Municipal and Regional elections and the European Parliament Elections for 2014.

The website (www.ekloges.ypes.gr) on which all the Candidate Lists have been posted is already in operation. In particular, 104 electoral lists participate in 13 Regions across the country, whereas the number of candidate Mayors for the 325 municipalities is 1441.

43 Parties/Electoral lists take part in the European Parliament elections with 1298 candidate MPs.

With regard to the results, the website will offer citizens expanded search and result presentation capabilities on all levels and on all electoral confrontations. What's more, on the evening of the elections of the 25th of May, every citizen will be able to see the results of the Municipality of their choice for all 3 electoral confrontations (Municipal, Regional and European Parliament By-Elections).

To ensure optimum display of the results on any device (smartphones, tablets and touch screens in general), the presentation of the results will be dynamically updated.

Still in a state of being finalised, information on which party has received most votes will also be dynamic and will be automatically displayed where it is possible to identify such information, based on data collected from the parties.

The Secure Result Transmission (STR) technology will be used once more in the May Elections. Thanks to this technology, the judicial officer will be offered the alternative to automatically transmit the election results over a mobile phone.

The SRT technology will be used on 20% of the polling stations across the country, ensuring that the sample of the results from the entire Territory is adequate. On the first round of the elections (Sunday 18th of May), this technology will be used to ensure faster collection of results from the 13 Regions and the Municipalities of Athens, Piraeus, Salonica, Patra and Irakleio of Crete. On the second round of the elections (Sunday 25th of May), it will be used for the collection of the European Parliament Election results.

Boasting proven efficiency, the system offers credibility and top security in the management and transmission of information, thus achieving significantly faster update.

SingularLogic is adequately prepared to execute responsibly the task of collecting and transmitting the electoral results in the forthcoming elections too, thus reinforcing an institution that the company has been serving since 1981 with rock-solid reliability.
