SingularLogic coordinates the European project POWERYOUTH for the active participation of young people in energy communities and the energy transition

SingularLogic, a member of the Space Hellas Group, coordinates the POWERYOUTH European project, which focuses on strengthening the participation of young people in energy communities to contribute actively to the energy transition. The project recognizes the importance of youth leadership in adopting new lifestyles and acquiring skills to support sustainable energy practices.

The project incorporates the development of tools that aim to strengthen young people's participation in energy communities systematically. These tools will help support collective decision-making and the adoption of innovative business models. Additionally, it involves the creation of a capacity-building program to train young pioneers who will form the Youth Energy Community Leaders group, which will act as a multiplier in the dissemination of good sustainable energy practices and facilitate young people's participation in energy communities at a European level.

SingularLogic will provide a participatory platform to support the dialogue between young people and local authorities on the energy transition. Moreover, the company will lead the exploitation activities and sustainability plans of the project results.

The POWERYOUTH approach will run five (5) pilots in EU countries: Greece, Portugal, Latvia, Austria, and Poland – aiming to create ten (10) youth energy communities and involve at least 1,000 young people and other stakeholders as members.

The LIFE Programme finances the project with €1,499,997 and will have a duration of three (3) years. The project's Consortium consists of nine (9) partners: SingularLogic, Space Hellas, National Technical University of Athens, AdEPorto - Porto Energy Agency, Rigas Planosanas Regions, OurPower, Association of Municipalities Polish Network Energie-Cités (PNEC), Cities Network for Sustainable Development and Circular Economy SCN, ALDA, YES-Europe (Young Leaders in Energy and Sustainability) - from 7 countries, Greece, Portugal, Latvia, Austria, Poland, France, and Switzerland.
